he fish festival in Feld am See in July invites young and old to the fish metropolis of Carinthia. All fish lovers are spoiled with delicious cuisine and musical sounds all day long.

The largest and most successful folk music and pop open air in the country takes place in the Carinthian Nock Mountains. Arnulf Prasch is now a cult host. Together with Stefanie Hertel, he guides the fans on site and the millions of viewers in front of the television screens through the music evening.

Every year in Feld am See, in the heart of the Carinthian Nockberge Mountains, ancient ways of working in everyday farming are brought back to life and presented to the population as part of an alpine festival. Up until 50 years ago, sophisticated handicrafts such as ring frying, felting or tying brooms were still an integral part of mountain farming annual routine. In order to preserve this age-old way of working for future generations, the Carinthian fence ring roast, unique in Carinthia, was staged as part of an alpine festival 30 years ago. Traditional tools and equipment for peasant work, for the transport and processing of wood by mountain farmers as well as hunters and grooms in original clothing are authentically used and shown.
